Just in time for Halloween...
Google is turning into a killer zombie, and EATING my BRAIN.
And I'm ok with it.
I let gmail take over my inbox last year, and the disease spread from there. Shortly thereafter, GOOGL-SMS took over my cell phone, and of course now I can't see how I ever lived without such lovely on-the-road service. Seriously: apart from at work, I haven't touched a phonebook in over eight months. Sometime afterwards, I discovered the convenience of this shell extension -- especially considering the fact that I am forever losing my flash drive.
This week, Google Desktop has been working at worming its way around my baby's inner workings -- building databases, customizing search tables, tweaking itself in that brilliantly nonintrusive yet all-too-pervasive Google way. Already I have reached that point of no return, where one is hopelessly embroiled in whatever new tech is on the table (be it cell phone, PDA, or Google Desktop) -- "how did I function without this?!"
What's in your head / In your head / Zombie? -- Lyrics which are existant on my hard drive, and found via a local Google search. w00t.
